摘要：Suppose are roots of unity; and are integers. We say the formal sum is a vanishing sum if in.I first studied the theory of vanishing sums. Among all the results, it turns out that many researchers mainly interested in the number. However, the structure of the vanishing sums proved did not seem to receive much attention. Recently, we found applications using the structure of vanishing sums to solve problems on generalized bent functions and Butson matrices.
