Numerical solutions of fractional differential equations by a hybrid collocation method

报告摘要: This talk is concerned with the applications of a hybrid collocation method to the initial value problem and terminal value problem of fractional differential equations. We first transform the fractional initial value problem into equivalent nonlinear Volterra equation with a weakly singular kernel. Then, the Volterra integral equation is converted to a fixed point problem. A hybrid collocation algorithm is developed to solve the fixed point problem, and the optimal order of convergence of the proposed algorithm is obtained. For the fractional terminal value problem, we convert it to the fractional initial value problem by the shooting method. At last, several numerical experiments are conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the hybrid collocation algorithm.

报告人简介:王林君,江苏大学网赌 教授,中国系统仿真学会仿真算法专业委员会委员, 江苏省工业与应用数学学会理事,江苏省计算数学学会理事。2010年博士毕业于吉林大学,2016年至2017年在美国佐治亚理工学院访问。近年来,主要从事分数阶微分方程的数值计算。
